Out Now: Standing On The Corner - SOTC II
Founded in Brooklyn, NY, STANDING ON THE CORNER (est. 2015) is a music recording group whose output moves mercurially between composition, performance, film, installation, social work, and sound. Rooted in the cultural exchange between the U.S.A., Puerto Rico, and Africa, the project machinates an intersection between soul, punk, salsa, doowop, jazz, funk, the avant-garde, and rap traditions, filtered through a distinctly New York City sensibility. The ensemble's practice is characterized by a mischievous alliance with ephemerality, lived experience, and site-specific signification with works often distributed unexpectedly and within limited physical windows. This emphasis on transience and communal memory remains central to the project's ethos. Collaborators include: The Warlockettes, Ladybug Mecca, Styles P, Bubba Dupree, Claudette Ortiz, Sonia Sanchez, Solange, Danny Brown.

Out Now: Paris Paloma - The Fatal Flaw
'The Fatal Flaw' is the much anticipated sophomore album from Paris Paloma; and quite simply it is an album all about Love. Love as Art, Love under the Patriarchy, Love as a political and radical act - in short 'The Fatal Flaw' examines Love from a deeper and philosophical perspective. Even the songs that aren't about Love, also are. They are about the absence of love, and what happens in those spaces, so they are songs about the necessity of love, and the consequences of it's absences. The Indie Exclusive version is pressed on Bloodshot vinyl and includes a fold-out poster.

Blending country, rock, and indie, the album explores friendship, freedom, addiction, anxiety, love, and the pursuit of feeling fully alive.
